Children Love Climbing but...
Roped Climbing
Roped climbing is safe for all ages. The walls are setup more for adults and teenagers as opposed to small children, but climbers older than 7 can still have a great time.
The youngest we've had get to the top was 3 years old.
Bouldering (low height and no ropes)
The rules have changed as of September 2023.
Bouldering is very safe by yourself. You climb up and fall down onto the crash pads safely.
But when other climbers are climbing, you must be careful to avoid being landed on.
Previously, we had a soft age limit of around 6yrs old to boulder. But we now recognise that it is too dangerous to have young children in the same space as larger people (adults). So the rules have changed.
The Hangar bouldering area
For safety, children under 10 are now no longer allowed in the Hangar Bouldering Area.
The Transformer Room bouldering area
For safety, children under 13 are still not allowed in the Transformer Room.
Da Cave Bouldering area
Children are allowed to boulder in Da Cave and the must be supervised by an adult.
